The Sri Lanka Society of Transport and Logistics (SLSTL) is pleased to announce that, for the 6th consecutive year the society will be organizing the Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI) – 2021. The conference will be held on the 16th of October 2021, virtually.

The conference will have an opening session with a keynote speech and a closing session with a panel discussion of industry professionals and an award ceremony. Around 30 research papers will be presented and an online presence of around 100 participants are expected.

We encourage all of you, academics and professional interested in research and development of the transport and logistics industry to join us.


Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI)

Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI) is an initiative that endeavors to promote research and development of the transport and logistics industry in Sri Lanka, and the region helping diagnose its current issues and identify potential improvements and sustainable solutions based on scientific evidence. The annual research conference intends to build a platform where the issues of the industry can be discussed and scientific processes developed for rectification of issues, showcased through research presentations. The inaugural R4TLI conference, in 2016 was attended by 200+ participants from several countries and showcased nearly 50 papers. SLSTL continues to organize the conference, and in the year 2019 the society jointly hosted the EASTS conference, together with the R4TLI – 2019 conference in September 2019 in Colombo which attracted more than 500 participants out of which 400 were international delegates.
